Coffee Culture - Sydney

Coffee Culture - Sydney

Sydney doesn't just drink coffee.

It depends on it.

If you even walk through the streets of Surry Hills at 7:30 AM.

You will see that no one is fully awake.

But everyone is holding a cup.

The cafe on the corner with three stools outside and people talking with music on the background.

The barista who started your order when they saw you turn the corner.

The first sip o your morning coffee that makes the morning feel alive.

But coffee isn't the story.

People are.

The barista remembers your order.

Not because they have to.

But because they care enough to notice.

They adjusted the grind before you walked in.

They felt the milk wasn't quite right and fixed it before a single cup was poured.

They've been here since 5am, and they make it look like joy.

The cafe is the stage.
The barista is the reason you come back.

Sydney's cafe scene is one of the best in the world.

Its not because of the beans.

Not because of the interiors.

But because of the people behind the machine.

The ones who chose this. Who mean it.

That's what makes a cup worth crossing the suburb for.

That's what turns a cafe into our ritual.

Next time you order a coffee

look up for a second.

There's always someone behind it.

Every great cup has a story and It starts with the person who made it.
